rearing of animals in large quantity for the purpose of sales. This is
directly opposite to the subsistent agriculture.

It requires large area of land
It involves the use of modern implements, such as tractors, ploughs,
harrows, etc.
It requires paid labour
It requires large capital i.e. It is very expensive to practise.
The yield is very high
